When creating a home electrical and lighting plan, it is typical to focus on the interior of the home. After all, that is where you’ll spend the most time and where you may require the most customizations to your lighting and outlets. But don’t forget the outside too!
How to Light the Exterior
There are a few different lighting options for the outdoors. First, you should have wall lights beside your doors and uplights and downlights on the exterior walls and throughout the landscape. Sensor lights are also an option to place above your garage or in your yard. Not only does this brighten the area, but it can deter criminals.
If you’re creating a lighting plan for your dream home, don’t forget the exterior. Both the interior and exterior should be a concern.
